ROSAR – AI Feedback for Academic Research Drafts

Introducing ROSAR, your intelligent writing companion designed to help researchers improve the originality, significance, and rigour of their manuscripts. Unlike tools that focus on grammar or rewriting, ROSAR zeroes in on critical research value, aligning its feedback with the UK’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) and other scholarly benchmarks.

The workshop was part of a strategic initiative under the British Council Indonesia and aligned with the broader objectives of the Newton Fund, which aims to foster research excellence and international collaboration between the UK and Indonesia.

Key Features:

♦   REF-Based Evaluation: Assesses drafts based on three core criteria—Originality, Significance, and Rigour.

♦   Smart Star Ratings: Offers star-based evaluations (currently being fine-tuned) to give you an at-a-glance view of paper quality.

♦   Interactive Feedback: Engage in dialogue with ROSAR to get more precise feedback where needed.

♦   Plenary Feedback, Not Proofreading: Focuses purely on developmental review, not editing or rewriting.

Whether preparing a conference paper, journal article, or research proposal, ROSAR provides formative, criteria-based feedback to enhance the scholarly quality of your draft during the early stages of development.
